Finding My Way Through the Spirit of the Stitch

Here I am on a Monday afternoon starting off my week with completing a new slow stitched piece of magic. But, before I get to that. I wanted to share the tribute to this months full strawberry moon I completed over the weekend. You can see it pictured above. I am going to attempt to make one each month. Knowing how I tend to get bored with things fairly quickly we shall see how that pans out. However, the important thing is the energetic intention I put into each of my pieces. That is a crucial part of my art/spiritual practice. Each of my pieces embody a set energy intention. To bring light, love and peace to the planet. In some cases I put the intention for humanity to wake up and realize how truly powerful we are. Sometimes I put healing intentions into them to help us heal from all things that prevent us from seeing our own light and love that resides in our hearts.

Moon energy is so soothing and comforting. It reminds me of a big hug you would get from your grandma or favorite aunt. Divine feminine energy at it's abosulte best. A good time to offer up intentions of things you would like to see manifest in your life. I am grateful for this awarenens..

Pictured here in the next set of images is the completed piece from today. It is my solar eclipse ring of fire piece. Eclipse energy is a really intense transformational energy. It can cause you to really dig down deep and do some heavy healing work. It is a time to acknowledge your shadow side and integrate it into your whole being. This union of energies can be so transformative and truly liberating In some folklore the solar eclipse was something to be feared. As it was often thought evil spirits would come out to torment people. But, what they really were afraid of was their shadow self. Sometimes much darkness can lurk in those depths of darkness. But, when you shine love into the abyss, powerful healing manifests itself. You begin to have some beautiful insights into the inner workings of the universe itself. A sense of wholeness is what I tend to experience. This sense of wholeness in turn brings a profound feeling of freedom and peace.

Each stitch I make contains a mantra, an intention like a beautiful magic spell being woven. It makes my heart sing and there is such an inner peace I exxperience while stitching that I hadn't experienced in other artforms. It is an active form of meditation for me. Another thing for which I have such immense gratitude for now.

Thank you for taking the time to visit with me for a while. It is so nice to chat and share what I'm working on. May your day be filled with joy and peace. Have a beautiful creative week.
